The topic that I will reflect on is about sex. During the presentation, the group discussed sex in regards to prostitution, having sex so as to get a job, and doing something for someone in exchange for sex. Based on the presentation, the use of sex can be in the form of prostitution. Prostitution is the act of sexual intercourse in exchange for money. The use of sex in regards to prostitution is one way that people get to earn money. In this paradigm, the act of prostitution is mostly common in female performing sexual intercourse with a male, who is not their husband, in exchange for money.

Something else that I found to be interesting in the presentation was the idea of having sex so as to get a job. I never thought that the issue of people having sex so as to get a job is that prevalent. In the presentation, the students said that some people use sex as a way of getting a job. Something that I learned is that in the corporate world, people are using sex to grow up the ladder. Based on my understanding, sex tends to be a common factor that people who lack skills use so that they can get a job.

Another area that the group discussed that I found interesting was the idea of doing something for someone in exchange for sex. I consider this to be something that is very common with people these days. In the case of having sex in exchange for something, it normally occurs when someone is desperate for something, and they know someone who can help them achieve what they want. In this case, the person will decide to offer sex in exchange of what the other person helped them achieve. The kind of sex tends to happen where a person can give something that is valuable to someone and then the person show appreciation through accepting to have sex with them. People can have sex for many reasons and sex in exchange for something can happen in the case where one have sex with a stranger in exchange for having a place to spend a night.

From this discussion, I was able to learn a lot about reasons that people have sex. In the discussion, I realized that sex so as to get a job was very prevalent and it is affecting the lives of many people. Today, it is very disappointing that bosses are asking their employees to have sex in exchange for a job or promotion. In some cases, when employees do not agree to the request, they may end up losing their jobs.  Today, people are using sex for very wrong reasons, and it is important that this disgusting act should stop. While discussing sex in getting a job, something that I would want the group to do is to determine how the use of sex to get a job is affecting other people who have the skills for a particular job and those who have been working hard fail to get their dues because of such people. It would be important if the group considered this part in their discussion so as to explain how sex to get jobs is affecting other people.
