The healthcare sector in the United Arab Emirates has been resilient despite economic effects. The sector continues to witness extensive periods of growth that is driven by the gap between supply and demand. The integration of technological innovations in the United Arab is an emerging issue that is bound to improve healthcare delivery.  Technologies such as telemedicine have enhanced the delivery of healthcare services to remote locations.  Telemedicine has bridged the gap and shortage of quality physicians since the physicians can reach out to patients beyond their geographical boundaries (Kvedar, 2014).
 Technology has also enhanced record keeping and access to patient records.  The UAE healthcare industry has adopted advanced technologies and tools that have enhanced the management of patient data.  The UAE also has technologies such as robotic surgery that has enhanced patient care and contributed to the delivery of improved health care.  The new trend has changed the operations of the health organization.  For instance, it has enhanced serviced delivery and reduced the patient-wait time.  Physicians can access patient records within the shortest time.  Moreover, the technologies have reduced the risk of errors when handling patients (Flodgren, 2015).  For instance, information on the patients’ personal detail as well as the medication and dosage that a patient needs can be entered by the physician and read by the nurse and the pharmacist.  Errors such as mix up of dosage as well as the provision of the wrong medication due to spelling errors are reduced (Kahn, 2015).  The hospital has also had to invest in technologies to enhance procedures such as surgeries.  For instance, the provision of non-evasive surgery minimizes the presence of cuts and wounds as well as the risk of post-surgical infections.
