Maintaining Data Storage Using SQL

Literature Review
Database management system (DBMS) refer to computerized application system that is designed using structural query language (SQL) to facilitate interactions between the user and other software applications. The interface between database and user enable various business-oriented operations which include capturing data, analyzing data, and processing reports. A dynamic database refers to a general database management system designed to allow definition, creation, querying, updating, and administration of databases.
The growth of big data and continuous demand in business entities to have fast processing process has increased demand for improved storage systems that should facilitate better and storage locations that should control, manage, and influence data and information growth. Sustaining steady business transactions and performance of activities a dedicated system is required to ensure that business operations run smoothly meeting all Enterprise Resource Processing (ERP) activities (Greg, 2014). Data and information services require being centralized in a common system that should facilitate easier dissemination, distribution and control of information technology services such as a combination of activities during multiple accessing of data and information.
Database Schemas
The database structure is usually divided into two types of schemas that represent the logical and physical view of data and information. Database schema reveals how data is organized and how it is related with one another. The database designers design structure of the database to help programmers understand database for easier configuration and setting of the database (Kho, et al., 2010). The database schema is divided into two categories which include physical database schema and logical database schema. Physical database schema refers to actual storage of data and information as well as its form of storage which include files, indexes. It provides a format for storing data in storage devices. Logical Database Schema defines logical constraints that should be involved in data storage. It defines tables, views, and integrity constraints (Dedene, & De, 2015).
Existing System
The current system is bound to several problems which include small storage capacity that limits organization from having adequate data and information repository system. The current system has increased cost due to high bandwidth consumption. The current database system is characterized by poor connectivity to the internet as well as the lack of consistent connectivity. Database systems cannot constantly be relied upon (Jo, et al., 2014).
Current System
Proposed database system shall have the main aim of collecting and storing related data and information and treating it as a single unit for easier control and management of the entire system. Research shall implement a database server to enhance reliable management of large amount of data in a multiuser environment (Ohtani, et al., 2012). The current system shall facilitate many users to gain access to same data. It guarantees to deliver high performance in processing and to analyze data and information. Proposed database shall facilitate data integrity through preventing unauthorized access and provide efficient solutions for failure recovery. Current database system shall provide support to major business stakeholders such as manufacturers, financing sectors, and human resource. It shall provide tools such as Online Analytical Processing (OLAP), Data mining platforms and data warehousing capabilities as required by business enterprise stakeholders (Bino, & Fahimuddin, 2011).
Reasons for Using SQL for maintaining Data Storage
SQL-oriented database systems provide high-level performance capabilities that facilitate users having easier interaction between database. SQL supports multiple types of database systems such as relational database systems that make use of structured data formats (Medina, et al., 2007). It also supports nonrelational databases which implement nonstructured data structures.
Architecture of Data Storage Using SQL
SQL database systems implement Application programming interface to implement dynamic Relational Database Management system.

Creating Database System
Development of database system implements various programming technologies which are related to each other. Various programming languages applied in developing database systems include Java Programming, Javascript, and Microsoft Dot Net. Other programming languages include Hypertext markup language (HTML), cascading style sheet (CSS), and Hypertext Processing language (PHP) among others (Chen, et al., 2013).
Types of Designs to implement Storage Systems
Database repository system design shall get implemented through the following strategies
1.    Developing prototype and models of screen design
2.    Embedding tools and hardware components for input design
3.    Integrating applications that support output designs for processing reports

Proposal
The development of database system shall incorporate different phases of the development cycle, which shall include action research cycles and System development life cycle. The phases of iterations shall revolve around designing conceptual logical and physical design based on the following iteration cycles

Iteration 1: Orientation in Prowess IT Solutions
Iteration shall include meeting with organization human resource officer for directives and introduction to organization working program. The structure of organization and hierarchy shall be addressed during the orientation period. Communication protocols, as well as structural systems settings, shall be introduced. The entire operation of activities shall include an introduction to IT departments for more information about developing and maintaining a database system. The session shall involve an introduction to organization policies, planning, and strategic settings. Training session shall cover ethical issues and good practices within IT sector.
Iteration 2: System Analysis Process
The session shall cover various operations involving training on how to work with SQL databases. The session shall cover training on how to implement configurations, settings and general handling of databases. It shall involve seminar session based on how to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair SQL databases. The session shall cover preliminary study on the current system to determine problems associated with the current system. End user requirements and specifications shall be determined during study analysis session. The session shall implement user interface and directives to link end user and system operations.
Iteration 3: Design and System Implementation
Iteration three shall implement training on how to implement drawing of architectural design of SQL database to ensure specification suggested is incorporated within the design. Input and output organization data and information shall be specified within the system. The session shall incorporate a training based on how to implement a system through coding. It shall implement SQL programming techniques that shall code a three tier and two tier architectures of the database.
Iteration 4: Testing, and Error Correction
The session shall involve a process of analyzing systems effectiveness and efficiency. It shall involve carrying out the process of evaluation and validation of developed SQL system to ensure that developed system is acceptable and conforms to the specifications provided by end users. The session shall involve direct utilization of end user deliverable documents to facilitate easier follow up of entire system requirement specifications.
Iteration 5: Deployment, Documentation, and Maintenance
Sessions shall involve activities such as data and information security to facilitate various contingency planning practices such as disaster recovery. The session shall implement data backup procedures to facilitate Easier recovery of data. It shall also implement a collection of deliverables to form one documentation for future reference and maintaining of the final project.
