            Parents who understand the laws of their stage of mourning are more effective in supporting their children. The different stages are shock, disbelief, denial, anger, bargaining, and acceptance. Parents must learn how to reach the acceptance stage for them to make decisions that are appropriate for the child. The parents can offer the much-needed care to the child and live a normal life as well as tend to the family, home, civic, and social duties after reaching the acceptance stage (Lerner & Johns, 2015).
