Women’s place in the world has been one of the hotly debated topics all around the world. Of particular interest is women’s involvement in politics, the impact of politics on women and the issues around political equality. For many decades now, politics has considerably been seen as a male-dominated field requiring male characteristics so as to succeed. One of the greatest limitations for women in politics was the financial aspect. The role of women was changing significantly not only in the political arena but also at home and in the workplace. Despite the increasing involvement of women in politics, they still faced various challenges such as women underrepresentation and also that their agendas took long to be passed in the Senate.
