real victim

The movie regards a case of the death of a young child in the hands of a male caregiver who worked as a mechanic. The caregiver, Ernie Lopez was babysitting the children of a local doctor at his home. According to Lopez, he fed the kids breakfast and held the youngest with her bottle in her swing. He moved to the kitchen and left the baby in the crib only to find her limping and was just there with blue lips. The caretaker hit the baby on the thigh to get her attention and also shook her a bit. Her heart was beating and racing. She was later taken to the hospital only to die a day later, and the results pointed to sexual assault and murder.
From my analysis, the real victim in the case is Lopez since he suffered for something he did not commit. The investigating officer cited sexual assault and murder to the child as caused by Lopez. However, as Lopez explains, he left the child in a crib only to find him limp and silent. Thus, it is likely that there was another problem she was facing from before Lopez took care of him that day. Lopez is the real victim in the case since he suffered the most from false accusations as well as 60 years imprisonment thought the case would be reviewed. It appears that all the accusations against Lopez were baseless since he did not commit any of the crimes of sexual assault or murder. It is challenging to get information from the child since she was young and could not understand what transpired. Thus, whatever the forensic scientist said was adopted by the court and used against Lopez despite him being innocent.
